JIMB

Joint Initiative for Metrology in Biology

In 2014, Stanford innovators and industry entrepreneurs joined forces with the measurement experts from NIST to create JIMB. As of late 2018 JIMB is hosted by SLAC in collaboration with NIST and Stanford.

JIMB unites people, platforms, and projects to underpin standards-based research and innovation in biometrology, with the goal of motivating standards-based measurement innovation to facilitate translation of basic science and technology development breakthroughs in genomics and synthetic biology.
