This could have several interesting applications, for example, it could be a way for customers to provide acceptance criteria: sometimes the client doesn’t need perfect sequences and there can be a trade-off, decreasing turnover time or cost while still fitting the customer’s needs. The ISO Technical Committee 276 has a project about standards for DNA synthesis that is still in an early stage of development, so this is a great opportunity to communicate and close the gap between the BioTech community and international standards.
